Trek To Patalsu Peak

Patalsu peak trek is one of the most wonderful treks that I would recommend to my friends
and relatives. Patalsu Peak at 13,800 feet is a moderately easy summit.
My Journey starts from Delhi where we boarded the bus around 7pm. After the endless
overnight bus journey from Delhi we reached to Manali by 9:00am and met our wonderful
Challengers Hub Team.
The team drops us to Hotel where our accommodation for a day was planned. On the same
day, we went for an acclimatization walk. We visited Hadimba Devi Temple and in the
evening we visited the Manali’s Main market “The Mall road” where we purchased some
last-minute supplies which will help in our trek. A short briefing was given to us for the
entire journey.
The next day, after breakfast we headed off on the short drive up to Solang valley, the
trailhead town for Patalsu Peak.
Solang is the last village as you follow the Beas River up the valley towards Manali’s
towering 5000 meters plus skyline – Mt. Hanuman Tibba, Mt. Friendship Peak, Mt. Ladakhi
Peak, and Mt. Manali Peak. Trek begins from Solang Valley, we left the village behind, but
my phone still boasted 4G network – not being very far from the village means you never
lose network on this hike. Patalsu’s lower hills are distinctive of Manali wilderness – oak and
pine forests, endless meadows, lively blue skies and snow-capped peaks hiding beyond the
horizon. We reached our campsite set at Shagadugh, which offers an amazing panoramic
view of the entire Kullu valley and Hanuman Tibba, Friendship Peak, and Manali Peak.
Team has set everything for us like dining, toilet, sleeping tent, the arrangements made by
the team was really good. The team welcomed us with energy drink and with delicious
Maggie, in the evening we played some games. The dinner made by the cook was very
delicious, I never expect such delicious food at this much height. Team has made the
arrangement for Bon fire. After camping at night in Shagadugh, the next day we resume our
Patalsu Peak trekking tour. In the roughly 7 hours, for which we will keep on the trails the
next day, we scaled Patalsu Peak, from the summit, we saw snow-covered mountains
towering over the Kullu valley, and lovely views into Lahaul and Spiti valley. Along with
signature Manali forests and traditional Kullu hospitality, the Patalsu trail gives perfect
views of the Beas Kund peaks including Hanuman Tibba, to round up a perfect beginner’s
summit. After spending some time at the summit point and taking some pictures, we return
to Shagadugh, stay at the campsite, shared some good memories.
The next day we trekked down to the Solang Valley and boarded the vehicle to Manali. We
stayed in the Hotel again for a night, and on the next day we visited to Vashisht Temple. It is
famous for sulphurous hot water springs; it is believed that water has great healing powers
that can cure the body ace, skin diseases, and other infections as well. After spending a
wonderful time in Manali we boarded our bus in the evening. It was such an amazing

experience. I would recommend this trek to everyone & off-course Challengers Hub!
Cheers!!
