Near Manali, Patalsu Peak at 4200m (13,800 ft) is a moderately easy summit. Don’t miss this opportunity and plan a getaway to the Himalayas. This is five days long expedition, and will take you to a maximum height of 13451 feet above sea level at the summit of Mount Patalsu.
Patalsu Peak trekking starts from the old bridge on the day. You first travel up to the famous Solang Valley, which becomes a lively ski resort in the winter season. Continue trek to Shagadugh, climbing through pine and meadows, deodar and oak forests occupied by Monals and Pheasants among other fauna for two days to the summit. Campsite set at Shagadugh, offers panoramic views of the entire Kullu valley and Hanuman Tibba, Friendship Peak, and Manali Peak.
After camping at night in Shagadugh, you resume your Patalsu Peak trekking tour. In the roughly 7 hours, for which you will keep on the trails the next day, you will scale Patalsu Peak, From the summit, you can see a sea of snow-covered mountains towering over the Kullu valley, and outstanding views into Lahaul and Spiti. Along with traditional Kullu hospitality and signature Manali forests, the Patalsu trail offers amazing views of the Beas Kund peaks including Hanuman Tibba, to round up a perfect beginner’s summit! After spending some time at the summit point, return to Shagadugh, stay at the campsite. The next day you will then trek down to the Solang Valley and board a vehicle to Manali.
