Fabulous views of the surrounding mountains, historic gompas, scenic birch and pine forests and the friendliness of the local Sherpa community, make this high altitude adventure the trip of a lifetime.

So let’s have some more insights into the wonderful trip.

You can come to this place all around the year as people trek in all seasons, but the best time to come to this place is between March to mid May and between September to mid -November. The weather is very cold and the snow all around may make your trekking experience tough in winters, in such conditions, it is impossible to go to higher altitudes. At higher altitudes, the cottages or lodges may even be closed due to the weather and you might face a difficult time finding a place to rest and spend the night. Hence it becomes a mandate to carry your tents along. The nights may get very cold and you would have to carry some additional clothes to keep you warm.

The peaks are lost in the clouds and the season is wet in summers. Hence April and May just prove the best time to go around this place. In this season you can see the blossoming beautiful tree and shrubs along with Rhododendrons. This adds a remarkable color and beauty to the surrounding.

Most of the restaurants in the region accept only Nepalese currency, as the place cheaper than Indian in terms of currency.

The preparation should be adequate before trekking to this area. Besides some of the few mandatory items like, warm clothes, hiking boots, UV sun block etc., there are a lot of other things that you must carry on your way ahead. A lot of material that you may not have considered taking along, this stuff may seem needless at first however would improve your trekking experience once you begin your trip. Primarily, you must carry water disinfecting drugs which can be easily found in Kathmandu.

You can fill your water bottle from lakes and river, it will also save your money on purchasing new bottles every time. You should carry light weight & soft shoes which also known as Kung-Fu shoes. You must carry a light knapsack so that you can carry your camera and other stuff, like a few clothes and even a sleeping bag.

Most of the lodges offer blankets but carrying a lightweight sleeping bag is a good thought, it is also suggested that you carry a high- quality sleeping bag which can give a comfortable and relaxed temperature even at -10 C°. A binocular is a must to see the great beauty of mountains and view the amazing terrains. It would also help you to spot the most exciting and stunning vision of nature in the form of flora and fauna.
