Description

Mount Elbrus in Russia is the highest mountain in Europe at 5642 m (18,510 ft). This is slightly a non technical peak but make no mistake as the physical fitness and ability to use crampons is very important. This beautiful mountain has two summits- West & East.
This mountain is a great start for those people who wish to start climbing in the Himalayan Peaks or wish to complete their 7-Summits Challenge.

Itinerary

Machame gate 1900 meter to Machame Camp 3000 meter. Dinner at and Overnight stay at campsite.
Machame Camp to Shira Camp 3800 meter. Dinner and Overnight stay at campsite.
Shira Camp via Lava tower to Baranco camp 3850 meter. Dinner and Overnight stay in capsite.
Baranco Camp Via Karanga Valley Camp to Barafu Camp 4700 meter. Dinner & time for rest until Mid Night.
Early in the morning around 12:30am to 1:am start summit Stella Point 5756 meters then to Uhuru Peak 5895 meter then descend down to Barafu Camp for 1 to 2 hours. Time for rest & relaxation by drinking tea, juice, fruits, soup, coffee, then descend down to Mweka Camp 3000 meter.
Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate 1900 meter then transfer to the hotel.

Accommodation

In Pyatigorsk accommodation in a hotel 3 *, in 2-bed rooms. Breakfast is included in the price of the program. In the lobby there is Wi-Fi. Hot and cold water round the clock.

On the slopes of Elbrus in the Base Camp – in comfortable tents with cots, in the Storm Camp – in huts with heating. The shelters are equipped with a dining room, separate from residential areas. Electricity is from the generator, which switches on for 3-5 hours in the evening. The toilet is outside. Shower in the base camp.


Transport

Depending on the number of people in the group, individual transport is used

Important! Transfer airport – hotel – airport is carried out once a day of arrival and once a day of departure. It is recommended to buy tickets for the plane with departure after 16.00 from Mineralnye Vody!


Food

Breakfast at the hotel is included in the price of the program.

Meals at the shelter on the slopes of Elbrus – in the equipped dining rooms. The group is being fed by a cook. On the day of climbing, Elbrus is provided with a lunch package, which includes several chocolate bars, apple, juice, nuts.


Staff

The group is trained by an instructor of the necessary qualifications.

Important: the instructor who accompanies you has a lot of mountain experience and has the right to change the schedule of the program at his own discretion, and, if necessary, to stop climbing or to forbid the participant to continue the program.


Medicine and Insurance

Before starting the program, you should consult a doctor for contraindications for health reasons.

On the outlets the first-aid kit is located with the instructor, but all personal medicines must be taken with you.

It is recommended to arrange medical and transport insurance for extreme sports.


Weather

In August, the weather is usually sunny in the afternoon. Air in the afternoon in Terskol warms up to + 20C. In the starting camp at 3900 meters – in the afternoon around + 10C.

However, the weather can deteriorate. In this case, the training and climbing plan will be adjusted to meet the safety requirements!


Communication, Telephone, Internet

Mobile communication works everywhere up to 3900m and in some places higher up to 5000m.

A responsibility

Mountain climbing and rock climbing can be dangerous for human health and life. The instructor of the curriculum provides security only when observing the rules of mountain climbing and safety techniques of all participants without exception. Therefore, it is necessary to listen to the opinion and advice of the mountaineering instructor.

During the program and, especially, in critical situations, participants must fully and unquestioningly follow the recommendations and guidance of the instructor. All actions and decisions on the route during a situation that threatens the safety of participants are exclusively within the competence of the instructor.

During all our programs, guides and instructors carry with them the necessary group equipment, a mobile phone with the numbers of the rescue services of the area, and also a first aid kit for providing first aid.

Deposit
A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total amount is payable to secure a place in the expedition. This needs to be prior 15 days of the scheduled departure date.
Balance 
The balance of 75% amount is payable before starting of the expedition.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
An expedition member may cancel his/her participation on the following basis:
Cancellation prior to 30 days from start of the expedition get 95% refund.
Cancellation between 29 days and 11 days to the start of the trip get 60% refund.
Cancellation less than 10 days to the start of the trip No refund.

Trip Cancellation Insurance
Team members should take out private insurance if they wish to be covered against cancellation due to medical or personal reasons.
This is called trip cancellation insurance and can be obtained from your travel agent.
