It feels like a voyage to the North Pole, where the temperatures go down to -35 degrees at night.

Your trip begins at the mountain town of Leh. You can reach to Leh is only by Flight and it is surrounded by snow giving it an entirely white look. You can catch some beautiful vision from Flight of the snowcapped mountains as it descends toward Leh which is located at 11400 feet above sea level. The trek starts from the small village of Chilling from where the Zanskar River begins to freeze.

Walking over the long & endless distances on the ice-covered or frozen Zanskar River is a mysterious adventure that takes a lot of physical strength and bravery to undertake. The River becomes entirely frozen over for a period of 3-4 months, which provides ideal conditions for winter trekking.

One of the highpoints of the trek is the most wonderful waterfall frozen totally from top to bottom known as Nerak waterfall. The finest time to do this trek is from mid-January to mid-February

The high-altitude terrain challenges add to the dare provided by the snow and ice all around.

The overall experience will leave their imprints on your hearts forever.

A lot of preparation is required to trek the Chadar Trail Camping and food facilities must also be arranged as finding any supplies on the route is almost difficult. It is best to take up a package that provides you with all the necessary things. The package will provide an inclusive experience which includes accommodation and food expenditure as well as a guide who helps you over the route.
